This mask is guaranteed to refresh your skin, no magic trickery required! A smooth and moisturized skin is key to the appearance that is healthy and vibrant. For that: exfoliation is a must! It can come in the form of physical exfoliation, or chemical exfoliation. Although term “chemical” exfoliation can sound scary to some people, for an experienced beauty connoisseur this often means alpha hydroxy acids and/or proteases (enzymes). Derived from fruits, berries or plants, AHAs are capable of gently disrupting cellular adhe­sion molecules to remove the outer most layer of dead cells along the skin’s surface. As new skin cells generate, older cells slough off to reveal a smoother looking aesthetic. Sun damage, age and environmental stress cause this process to slow which results in the accumulation of dead skin cells. The use of AHAs can combat this problem by breaking proteolytic bonds to increase cellular renewal. (Ok, maybe it is a little magic, because the result is visually apparent)
